1
A room with a door
Get a separate room in your home (preferably with a door) where you can work without being disturbed or constantly bumped into or distracted by other people in your home. If you live alone, then you might not need to worry about distractions.
You should probably get a room that’s not close to your bed so you won’t be tempted to sleep when you get tired.
If you don’t have a spare room, get a space in your sitting room/parlor that you can use for your home office.
Also, ensure the room is well-lit and has great ventilation. If possible, let the room be painted white. Because, white rooms have been known to foster productivity.

Desk with shelves, drawers, and storage units
To have a balanced work and personal life, organization and productivity are the first on the list of things to take note of.
Having the right desk will help make that a possibility. There are several desk types to choose from but ensure that when choosing the desk you want to use for your home office, you choose a desk that is wide enough to accommodate your laptop, your monitor (if you have one), and several other things you’d eventually put on the desk.
Also make sure your desk has drawers and storage units where you can put things you want to easily access while working.
You might get distracted if you keep standing up to get things while working, so make sure your desk has a storage unit where you can put the extra things you need in the process of working.
