How To Make 2021 Your Best Year Ever

Hi! If you are reading this, I wish you a Happy New Year!!!

I know if I ask you how 2020 went, you will have so many things to say about it. And I know you are here because you want this New year to be your best year ever.

You are willing to do everything to make this year a better year than you ever had.

You are here because you don’t want to make the same mistakes you made last year.

You are in the right place.

I won’t take much of your time. I just want to share some of the things I have decided to implement and be conscious of in 2021 with you.

And I hope by 2022, we will be counting our blessings and naming them one by one.

Here are seven areas of your life you should work on if you want the best of 2021

Finances

In 2020, I really learned a lot about finances. I learned more about investing.

Like many of us, I used to think investing was a waste of time.

It just didn’t make sense that I had to keep my money with someone for a long time and collect more money after a very (emphasis on very) long time.

I liked the faster route.

You know, those types of money-doubling investments will give you double your money in a few seconds (I’ve lost a lot of money to them. Lol).

Money doubling is a scam, but the proper investment will give you a lifetime of peace, rest, and financial security.

A wise friend once told me ‘If you can’t risk losing a lot of money, you can’t get more money.’

In 2021, invest more in profitable things like Agriculture, Real estate, or Forex (if you can trade or you know an excellent trader).

If you don’t know where to start, you can tell me in the comment section, I might know just the right investment plan for you.

In 2021, save more than you spend. Save first before you spend your money.

In 2021, don’t be nonchalant about how you manage your finances. It will be bad to go broke when everyone else is spending.

Business

Dear Business man/woman

I have come to realize a lot of us find joy and fulfillment when we work with our hands and we’re appreciated for it.

In 2021, don’t settle for less in your business.

Dear business-minded one,

That idea that has been on your mind for days, weeks, or months, put it to work.

All the great entrepreneurs you see today, all started by putting those little incoherent ideas to play and before they knew it, the little ideas became big.

It won’t be so easy. You will hear a voice at the back of your mind telling you it won’t work.

The only way you can shut the voice up is not by binding and casting it (lol).

It is by getting up to start working on those ideas.

It is to keep working until you can’t hear the voice anymore.

It also took a while for me, when I got the idea for my business.

Nothing else stood against me, except me.

I fought with myself and conquered.

I fought with Imposter syndrome, procrastination, laziness, oversleeping, and complacency. I embraced responsibility, diligence, and consistency before I could bring myself to share my problem-solving idea with the world.

You can check it out here.

Career

In 2021, take that leap in your career.

If you’re in school and you’re taking a course you don’t like. Don’t be afraid to start again. It’s better to start again doing what you are passionate about than beating yourself up for not liking the course.

In 2021, don’t feel you’re too old to go to school, further your career, change your job, or start a new career.

Don’t compare yourself with anyone. Don’t let anyone rush you to make wrong decisions. Don’t be pressured. Accept good advice with discretion.

Go for it.

Listen to the promptings of your heart. Follow the peace guarding your heart and make the best choices.

Relationship

If there is something you should never take for granted in 2021, it is Relationships.

You will meet new people this year.

Learn to discern the ones who have come to share their good with you. Don’t cast everyone as bad. You never know who has come to make your life better.

Truth be told, if you want to sell something, you need people.

If you want to share your business, skills, or talents, you need people.

We basically need people in every journey of our life.

In 2021, don’t take good relationships for granted. Don’t shut your heart to love or the possibilities of good, loyal and value-adding friends.

Good friends can inspire you to start that thing you never had the courage to do. They can motivate you not to ever give up. They can help you in situations you could never help yourself.

Be a good friend and you will attract great friends.

Ministry

Wait! I know you almost skipped this.

You think this isn’t for you.

But remember that every believer has been called into a ministry.

2 Corinthians 5:18 KJV
And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

And that ministry is telling sinners about the Gospel of Jesus (How he died (for our sins), was buried and resurrected) and letting them know how much Jesus loves us.

And you don’t have to be a Pastor or Evangelist (gift of the spirit) before you minister to the lost souls.

But before you go out into the world, how are you preparing yourself?

Do you have a consistent prayer and study life?

If someone walks up to you and asks you questions about the God you profess to serve, do you know anything about him? Or do you only know what your pastor and ‘spiritual people’ tell you about him?

This year, make a resolution to know God more.

If you have always been reading the bible and you never really understand, then you need help.

Don’t hesitate to get help.

God wants to lead you this year. Don’t make him wait too long.

Self-development

There is this great feeling that comes with being good at what you do.

There is this peaceful feeling that comes with being known for being the best in your chosen field.

And that can only happen when you work on yourself.

Is it your career? Learn something new about your career.

There are lots of sites these days where you can learn a thing or two.

I have met people who are really good at what they do and when I ask them how they learned what they know? Most of them tell me they learned it online.

Is there a business idea you have, but there is no one to teach/train you on what you need to know? Go online.

Learn about these things (There are so many resources online. Both paid and free).

Some online learning sites I can recommend are:

Coursera
Skillshare
Udemy
Youtube
Duolingo (For learning new languages)

In 2021, be known for being the best at what you do.

Live

If you follow my blog a lot you will know I love life a lot.

You might never truly enjoy your year if you never find time to get to live, know the things you love, and do them often.

There are so many beautiful things in the world to love. If you can’t find one, look up to the sky and see the beauty of nature. Go to a bookstore and walk around. Play a song on your phone and move your body to the rhythm. Take a walk around your home.

Go do that thing you’ve always wanted to do.

Go make beautiful memories.

Don’t allow people to dictate to you how to live your life. Find what you want to do with your life and do it.

Don’t limit yourself to just one thing. Do a lot of things. Love it.

Allow yourself to enjoy the little things. Even while aspiring for greater days, appreciate the little now.

In 2021, seize every opportunity, and have a positive mindset that nothing will go wrong.

Everything will go right.

Let that be our 2021 Mantra.

I wish you so much good this New Year.
