Traveling around the world is the beautiful dream of so many people, including me.
Some people even sell off all their properties and quit their jobs to travel around the world. Some even take up remote jobs and live in minivans, so they can travel the world and live their wildest dreams.
It’s a beautiful dream if you ask me.
I curated this wishlist to share ten (+one) of the top places in the world I would like to go someday soon.
If they are also a part of your wishlist, let me know in the comments.
10
Zuma Rock, Abuja, Nigeria
Zuma rock is actually located in Niger, Nigeria. But it can be seen on the way to Abuja, which is why most people believe it is located there. It is known for its mysterious facial features with the eyes, nose and mouth of a man.
According to Culture Trip’s fun fact:
The famous Zuma Rock features on Nigeria’s 100 Naira currency banknote. It is twice as high as the Uluru Rock in Australia – it is also higher than the height of Nigeria’s popular Aso Rock and Olumo Rock put together, and more than four times as high as Nigeria’s tallest building, NECOM House.
I first heard about this place from my late adventurous father who had never been there but always saw the place on his way to the north.
It has been a place I have looked forward to since I heard about it. I’ve also read positive reviews about the place.
9
Santorini, Greece
While researching and curating my list of the most beautiful places in the world, I discovered quite a lot of beautiful places and Santorini is one of them.
Its beautiful white roofs give me this unexplainable excitement and longing which makes me curious to know what it will be like to see them live.
8
Venice, Italy
The city of Venice was also one of the places I added to my list and it was a beautiful discovery.
Whenever I watch some of my favorite kdramas (because S. Koreans have the most beautiful landscapes in their dramas), I always notice the beautiful places they travel to in and out of the country and one place that sticks with me in boys before flowers is the part where they rode a boat under a bridge.
If you are familiar with Venice, you will know this is one of the many attractions it has. There’s so much to see and do in Venice and I look forward to doing it all, someday.

Ikogosi Warm Spring, Ekiti, Nigeria
I have been looking forward to visiting this amazing place in the southwestern part of Nigeria. It’s not only full of nature’s wonders, it’s also a place I discovered through my dad (he basically fostered my adventure spirit from my childhood). I also read a lot about the warm spring when I was younger.
Travel Waka also shares this story I read when I was younger, on the hot and cold spring:
According to legend, the warm and cold spring symbolizes the wives of a great hunter named Awopereige. The warm spring was the hot-tempered and troublesome wife of the hunter while the cold spring was the gentle and peace-loving wife.
Legend has it that the two wives do not get along. One day, they got engaged in a fight which led the husband to rebuke the two of them. His reaction did not go well with the two wives. The temperamental wife turned into the hot spring while the gentle one turned into the Cold spring. This is the legendary story of Ikogosi Warm Springs.
Merely thinking of this story, I am already eager to visit this place and spend time reliving the stories I heard in my childhood.
6
Dubai
I really don’t have a particular place I want to see in Dubai, because I’ve never been there, so I will say I want to see EVERYWHERE.
I want to ride the camel in the desert, go to the 27th floor of the Burj Al Arab, shop in the Dubai Mall, get a view of the city from the Burj Khalifa, visit the museum and bring my tour to a close at the dolphin bay. There’s more, and the U.S. News Travel section has nine more lists of the best things to do in Dubai.
I also read a story once on NaijaSingleGirl’s instagram page where she wrote about riding fascinating rollercoasters in Dubai. I think that is one thing I really look forward to — those rollercoasters.
5
Paris
You already know I’m looking forward to visiting the Eiffel tower when I go to Paris someday.
I’ve probably dreamt of going there all my life. I call it ‘The City of Love,’ and ViaTravelers attest to that. You’d have probably heard of one of the most popular attractions in the city which is Pont des Arts. The bridge with (lovers) padlocks on its railings.
The mere thought of these places sends shivers down my spine.
Just recently, I downloaded a Google LLC app on the play store called Google Earth that allows me to see and visit several places in the world via my phone. There’s also another app call Street View that allows me to see the streets of any country I want to see in the world.
It’s fascinating and it will probably keep my enthusiasm till I eventually go to these places.
4
Hollywood, CA, USA
If you don’t know Hollywood, then you’ve probably been living in the forest or you’ve never watched TV all your life and if that’s really you, I beg you, I will like to meet you. I think you will be an interesting person.
Anyway, if you know me, you’ll probably know I love America a lot and please don’t ask me why.
Okay, I will tell you.
Most of my favorite series are black american series.
Everybody Hates Chris, The Cosby Show, Raven’s Home, Blackish, Mixedish, and Grownish.
I’m mostly definitely in love with all the characters — most definitely.
Having seen all of those series a gazillion times, I can assure you I want to see America someday.
And I should probably visit Hollywood first. I would visit the Hollywood walk of fame (to see the names of my favorite Hollywood stars). I would also go to see the Hollywood sign and the Universal studios.
After this I would visit Tyler Perry’s Studio. There’s so much more to see in Hollywood and you can read all about it on PlanetWare.
I look forward to seeing the beautiful country someday.
3
Maldives
America should be my number three, but I had to sneak this one in. Have you seen Maldives?
I didn’t really get the hype until I started seeing those videos on instagram, the clear blue water,
It’s also a South Asian country (and coming from a lover of asia!!), I will say, Maldives is worth being my number three.
In case you didn’t know, Maldives is more than the striking blue waters.
There are tons of things to do there apart from wining and dining in the water, you can go snorkeling, walk on the white sandy beaches, go scuba-diving, visit underwater hotels and overwater bungalows, and according to Pick Your Trail, you can buy jewelleries, sarongs, maldivian mats, edible fish products, cultural lacquer products, and handmade wicker mats.
What a place to look forward to.
2
Jeju Island (Jeju-do), South Korea
If you’ve been reading through this article, you would have deduced that I’m a South Korean fangirl. (I learned how to speak korean — it is that serious).
So, my love for the country determined my choice for My Top second and first choices of places to visit in the world.
Yes, I want to go to Jeju-do (Jeju Island).
I don’t know why it always seemed so special to go there in Kdramas or why the actors are always going for seminars and business meetings in Jeju-do, 나 궁금해 (I’m curious). But it did spur my love for the place.
(And they always go to the beach in those dramas. EVERYTIME).
It is usually called the ‘Hawaii of Korea’ and there’s so much to do when you visit Jeju Island.
You can visit the Jeongbang Waterfalls, or go to Wind 1947 Jeju Extreme Circuit to ride the vintage carts (you can enjoy the Mount Halla view while at it), you can also see the Oedolgae rock, and the Jusangjeolli Hexagon Lava Cliff.
Wondering what else you can see at Jeju-do, check out for more on Expatolife.

Seoul, South Korea
My dream country. I can never get over the beauty that is Seoul.
Seoul is beautiful in the daytime and at night. It’s the home of shopping for all things beauty products (this is my personal opinion, thank you).
According to Google:
Seoul, the capital of South Korea, is a huge metropolis where modern skyscrapers, high-tech subways and pop culture meet Buddhist temples, palaces and street markets. Notable attractions include futuristic Dongdaemun Design Plaza, a convention hall with curving architecture and a rooftop park; Gyeongbokgung Palace, which once had more than 7,000 rooms; and Jogyesa Temple, site of ancient locust and pine trees.
Apart from the Gyeongbokgung Palace, Seoul is most famous for the Namsan Tower. If you have seen boys before flowers, that scene Gu Jun Pyo (Lee Min Ho) waited for Jan Di (Gu Hye Sun) in the snow (yeah), that was the Namsan Tower. They later rode the tower and got cheap coffee too (remember?).
I’m definitely riding the Namsan Tower when I go to seoul.
Seoul has been on the top of my travel wishlist since the first time I watched a korean drama (Playful Kiss) in 2012.
If you thought Paris was cool, think again. Seoul basically has almost all the attractions I listed in the countries above.
I also wrote a post on the 10 Best Things You Must Do When You Visit Seoul, South Korea. Ensure you check it out.
Think, lovers padlock, striking blue water, abundance of nature and beautiful trees, beaches, roller coasters, etc. Seoul has it all.
Seoul has the most beautiful places and uncountable attractions like the Namsan Park, Lotte world, Lotte world tower, 63 square, National Museum of Korea, and Myeongdong market.
Seoul is a mix of traditional and modern and that is what makes the city unique. They go hard for their modern and conventional infrastructures without losing their culture and traditions.
You can see more Seoul attractions on Hotel.

Macao
I think my love for Asian countries started with my love for boys over flowers. So, if you are a die hard fan, you should already know about Macao.
Yes, that beautiful city Jan Di went to find her lover, only to be met with disappointment.
A region of the south coast of China, with the nickname ‘the Las Vegas of Asia.’
You can get a good view of Macau from the tall Macau tower.
There’s so much to do in Macau, from visiting the A-Ma Temple to going to see the ruins of St Pauls in Senado Square.
It’s a city I most definitely look forward to seeing someday. You can see more things to do in Macau on Travel Lens.
