You know at intervals, I had to drop this book to think, laugh out loud, make funny sounds best known to me.
I love this book.
It’s been a while I read a book such as this. A book set in Nigeria that gives me that Colleen Hoover feels. Lol.
So there’s this certain way I feel when I read Colleen’s books. How she changes the story genre and make the story more fascinating and you can’t just take your eyes off the book.
You just want to know what will happen next, you just want to finish the book and yet you don’t want to.
That was exactly how I felt.
This story centers on 3 women and their different fate and how their lives got interwoven in this book.
Grace, an independent career woman whose love for her job cost her a loving marriage.
Imelda, a young lady stucked with the worst kind of guy you can think of. Ahmad gives me the icks.
Chinyeaka, a greedy sales girl with an obsession for a better life than the one she has.
These 3 women made decisions that changed their lives greatly and determined their future.
I loved how the different stories were woven into each other and how I could get the point of view of each characters, leaving me yearning for what happens to the other characters more.
Grace and Ken’s love story was the sweetest for me. I love their deep attraction for each other and how their story took off. You need to read the book to know what I’m talking about.
They survived quiet a lot.
The book is full of suspense, drama, obsession, so much sweet sweet romance (I lovey) and lessons.
